Crispin Coombs

Dr Coombs’ research investigates the organisational impacts of information system technologies. His research is based on three complementary strands: the success and failure of information systems in organizations; empowerment and control through technology and the organisation of the IT function.

Current projects include the robotization of knowledge and service work (with Donald Hislop, Sarah Barnard and Stanimira Taneva), the impacts of the Internet of Things on work (with Donald Hislop and Sarah Barnard), the adoption of agile working practices in software development teams (with Alicia Parkes and Guy Fitzgerald) and the Influence of Information Management Capability on Organisational Agility (with Renato de Oliveira Moraes, (http://pro.poli.usp.br/institucional/corpo-docente/renato-de-oliveira-m…) University of Sao Paulo).
