Research interests

I have a multi-disciplinary research background grounded in Psychology and Human Factors. My research interests include individual attitudes and behaviour in online crowd systems, including crowdfunding, social media, and citizen science. I am especially interested in the roles of incentives and reciprocal motivations for participation; outreach and science communication, especially engaging with young people; and the effects of the online world on psychological well-being. I am currently working on user understanding of algorithm-driven internet services.
